Being part of a group is a great way to look into the Bible with others and grow spiritually, as well as giving and receiving support and encouragement. We would love to connect you with a group that matches your needs and where you find community and belonging. Our groups love to welcome and include new people.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do! We all contribute to the life and ministry of MBC, so we encourage everyone to be involved in serving within the church.
Join the crew in one of our ministry teams — music and creative, sound and data, children and youth, welcoming, café, elders, ministry development, finance and more! Find your place, fulfill your calling and use your gifts and abilities to bring glory to God.

If you’re new to church, join us at Next Steps - a one-off session in the cafe. This is a great way to get to know people, meet some of the team, and discover more about what we believe and where our heart for ministry is as a church. We’re excited to get to know you!
SERVING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY
People around us matter! We want to impact Matamata with the message of God, both in spiritual and practical ways. We run a food parcel ministry, and a number of events operate out of MBC during the week — boxing, ballet, youth ministries, and a 'Connect' games group.
’Young at Heart’ meets for lunch and encouragement every second month.
‘Family Nights’ with dinner and games are another way to connect with community.
